Reproduces written contributions made by the South Centre to the work of the NAM Ad Hoc Panel of Economists. The Panel was established in accordance with a decision of the NAM Foreign Ministers Conference in New Delhi in April 1997, with a mandate to "assess the current international economic situation from the perspective of developing countries and to identify and analyse major issues of concern to them and to assist in developing a positive agenda of the South" and to present its report to the XII Conference of Heads of State or Government of the Non-Aligned Countries, in Durban, South Africa.
